Economic Development

Economic development is essential to the growth of District 10. As your representative key points of emphasis we will focus on are:

Increased Tax Revenue: Upgraded Educational Experiences, Public Safety, Infrastructure Development
Quality of Life Improvements: Our focus will include projects that will lead to improved community infrastructure including better roads, public spaces, and green space (walking and biking trails) and enhanced recreational, dining, and retail entities. These enhancements will contribute to an overall improvement in the quality of life for District 10 residents.
Diversification of Economy: Economic Development helps diversify the local economy by attracting a variety of industries. Diversification makes the community less susceptible to economic downturns in any single sector, promoting long-term stability.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Supporting economic development encourages entrepreneurship and innovation. It creates an environment where individuals are inspired to start their own businesses, fostering a culture of creativity and resilience within District 10.
Enhanced Services and Amenities: With increased resources from a growing economy, the county can invest in expanded and improved public services. This includes additional healthcare facilities, educational programs, and cultural amenities that contribute to a vibrant and sustainable District 10.
Community Pride and Identity: A thriving local economy can instill a sense of pride and identity among residents. Economic Development projects often become symbols of community progress, fostering a positive outlook and sense of belonging.

Sustainable Communities

Prioritizing Environmental Stewardship, enhancing quality of life, with forward-thinking infrastructure (Heat reducing roadways, EV charging ports, Incentive the use of Smart Building materials). Through renewable energy initiatives and green infrastructure projects, we will have opportunities to reduce our environmental footprint, and provide our communities, here in District 10, with enjoyable green spaces, while also, building career opportunities and enhancing workforce development in a community designed for the future.

Smart Growth Principles, including walkable neighborhoods, sidewalks, paved roads, affordable, energy-efficient housing, all initiatives aimed at enhancing livability, while reducing the environmental impact.

Infusing Arts and Culture, The infusion of art into our communities sparks creativity, encouraging expression, while contributing to the overall social and economic vitality of Richland County, making it a crucial component of our shared cultural tapestry. Our diverse interest are Our strengths.

Emphasizing Education and Community Engagement, Supporting sustainability programs, such as local AgriBusiness, Electrical Vehicle capacity, Residential Energy Audits, as well as, Solar Energy initiatives, while fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
